International professionals for the hotel and catering industry

Attracting qualified employees from abroad – professionally supported from recruitment to integration.

The shortage of skilled workers poses major challenges for hotels, restaurants, and catering businesses. Saisy Germany supports employers in recruiting qualified international professionals – from chefs and hotel staff to graduates of international hospitality programs.

Through our many years of experience in international recruitment, we connect employers with motivated professionals who bring professional qualifications, international experience and diverse language skills.

Our approach includes candidate selection, qualification verification, structured German language support, and guidance throughout the subsequent placement and entry processes.

Unsere Services im Überblick.png

Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management and Hospitality

Many of our international candidates hold an academic degree in hotel and restaurant management or hospitality management.

A Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management provides – depending on the university and study plan – both business and operational skills for the international hotel and restaurant industry.

Typical study content includes:

  • Hotel Operations and Front Office Management: Reservations, reception, guest services and hotel procedures

  • Food and Beverage Management: Restaurant operations, service organization, beverage management and gastronomic management

  • Housekeeping Management: Organization of room cleaning, quality control and staff planning

  • Culinary Arts and Kitchen Operations: Fundamentals of food preparation, kitchen organization, menu planning and food safety

  • Hospitality Marketing and Sales: Marketing, customer loyalty, sales and digital communication

  • Accounting and Financial Management: Cost control, budget planning, calculation and efficient business management

  • Human Resource Management: Personnel planning, leadership, employee training and team organization

  • Event Management and Tourism: Event organization, guest services and tourist services

The specific course content and practical training components vary depending on the university. Therefore, we assess individual qualifications and professional experience in relation to the specific position.

Chefs and hotel professionals from international talent pools

We have contacts with qualified applicants from various countries and language regions.

Philippines: Many candidates speak English at a native level. These include graduates of hospitality programs as well as experienced chefs and staff from the hotel and restaurant industry.

Thailand: We consider applicant profiles with experience in kitchen, gastronomy and international guest services.

Ivory Coast: French-speaking professionals can be of particular interest to internationally oriented hotels, restaurants and catering establishments.

Other language profiles: Our talent pool also includes Arabic and Spanish-speaking applicants.

Which candidates are suitable for your company depends on the specific position, the professional requirements, language skills and legal requirements.

Recognition of foreign professional qualifications

In the case of foreign professional qualifications, we work together with the parties involved to determine which German reference occupation is suitable and which recognition procedure is responsible.

For chefs, the Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK) FOSA can assess the equivalence of a foreign vocational qualification with the German reference occupation of chef. Depending on the training content, the scope of practical training, and the submitted documentation, the procedure can lead to full or partial equivalence.

Even academically qualified hotel professionals can gain access to the German labor market under certain conditions. Whether employment is possible under the regulations for skilled workers is assessed based on the specific degree, the job, and the applicable immigration requirements.
