SAISY GERMANY
Corporate mission statement and policy statement on ethical and fair international recruitment of skilled workers
Our responsibility. Our values. Our commitment.
Preamble – Human dignity before economic interests
SAISY Germany stands for responsible, ethical, fair and transparent international recruitment of nursing professionals and other qualified specialists for the German labor market.
We are convinced that international recruitment of skilled workers can only be sustainable and successful if it is based on mutual respect, human dignity, equal opportunities, the rule of law and social responsibility.
For us, international professionals are not merely workers, but people with individual life stories, families, career goals, rights and legitimate expectations for their future.
Our overriding principle is: No economic success should be achieved at the expense of the human dignity, rights or financial security of international professionals.
With this corporate mission statement, we commit ourselves to aligning all international recruitment and placement processes for which we are responsible with recognized international standards, the applicable national legal regulations and the principles of responsible recruitment of skilled professionals.
1. Commitment to international labor and recruitment standards
SAISY Germany expressly commits itself to fundamental labor and human rights as well as to the principles and recommendations of the International Labour Organization (ILO).
We base our actions in particular on:
-
the ILO General Principles and Operational Guidelines for Fair Recruitment,
-
the relevant ILO core labor standards,
-
the International Recruitment Integrity System (IRIS) of the International Organization for Migration (IOM),
-
the international principles for combating forced labor, exploitation, discrimination and human trafficking,
-
the principles for fair recruitment and placement of international nursing professionals,
-
the Employer Pays Principle.
These principles form the ethical basis of our business relationships, our recruitment procedures and our cooperation with employers and international partner organizations.
We are committed to regularly reviewing our procedures and adapting them to new legal and international requirements as needed.
Unsere Rekrutierungsprozesse sollen insbesondere folgende Anforderungen erfüllen:
4. Responsibility within the framework of the German Excellence Alliance
SAISY Germany is committed to transparent, quality-oriented and responsible cooperation within the framework of the German Excellence Alliance.
We commit ourselves to consistently adhering to the principles of fair international recruitment of skilled workers in our activities within the framework of this cooperation.
Our collaboration with employers, educational institutions, language schools, recruitment partners and other participating organizations should be based on integrity, traceable responsibilities and verifiable quality requirements.
Our goal is to make the recruitment of international skilled workers not only economically successful, but also, and especially, humane, legally compliant and sustainable in the long term.
We ensure that all participating partners acknowledge the minimum ethical standards we have set and implement them in their respective areas of responsibility.
6. Compliance with national laws and international migration regulations
SAISY Germany is committed to complying with all applicable legal regulations in Germany and in the respective countries of origin and deployment of international specialists.
This includes in particular the applicable provisions of labor law, migration law, data protection law and the regulation of private recruitment and placement services.
We attach particular importance to the legal requirements of the countries of origin.
For the recruitment of skilled workers from the Philippines, we expressly commit to complying with the applicable regulations and official requirements of the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) of the Republic of the Philippines.
This includes in particular:
-
compliance with applicable legal regulations regarding the employment of Filipino workers abroad,
-
compliance with relevant licensing, approval and registration requirements,
-
Cooperation with properly licensed and approved intermediary organizations, insofar as this is required by law,
-
compliance with prescribed procedures for contract review, documentation and departure,
-
compliance with the legal protection provisions for Filipino migrants,
-
the prevention of impermissible direct recruitment or unauthorized placement procedures.
We commit to not supporting any business models or cooperation structures that serve to circumvent these protective regulations.
7. Active prevention of human trafficking and labor exploitation
SAISY Germany maintains a consistent zero-tolerance policy towards human trafficking, forced labor, illegal recruitment and any form of work-related exploitation.
We acknowledge that international labor migration can involve particular risks. These include, in particular, deception regarding employment conditions, excessive fees, financial dependency, document confiscation, and abusive contract terms.
We therefore commit ourselves to taking appropriate measures to prevent such practices within our sphere of influence and responsibility.
This includes the careful selection of our business partners, transparent contract and information processes, raising awareness among involved individuals, and the examination and handling of specific suspected cases.
In cases of well-founded suspicion of human trafficking or other serious legal violations, we will take appropriate protective measures and, where legally required or necessary to protect the victims, cooperate with the relevant authorities.
The protection of affected skilled workers takes precedence over economic interests.
8. Transparency, integrity and verifiable accountability
SAISY Germany is committed to a corporate culture based on honesty, integrity, responsibility and transparent decision-making.
We are committed to ensuring that applicants, employers and cooperation partners understand their respective rights, obligations and contractual conditions.
Our internal processes and contractual agreements should be designed in such a way that compliance with our ethical principles can be verified in a transparent manner.
We are committed to taking complaints and indications of possible violations seriously, investigating them appropriately, and implementing necessary improvement measures.
Our aim is not merely to formally comply with minimum legal standards, but to continuously improve our processes in the sense of responsible international recruitment of skilled workers.
9. Our responsibility towards countries of origin and destination
We understand international skilled migration as a form of cross-border cooperation that should benefit both the migrating skilled workers and the societies involved.
In doing so, we take into account the legitimate interests of the countries of origin and the potential impact of international recruitment on their health and care systems.
We adhere to relevant international recommendations for the responsible recruitment of healthcare personnel and respect government restrictions as well as bilateral agreements.
Our goal is a cooperative and sustainable partnership that creates professional opportunities without disregarding the protection interests of the countries of origin.
10. Our binding commitment
SAISY Germany hereby declares that the ethical principles described in this corporate mission statement represent binding standards for our business activities and our decisions in the selection of and cooperation with international partners.
We commit ourselves in particular to:
Fairness instead of exploitation. Transparency instead of hidden costs. Voluntary participation instead of coercion. Legal certainty instead of circumvention of regulations. Partnership instead of economic dependence. Human dignity instead of profit at any price.
We will align our business processes and cooperative relationships with these standards and take appropriate corrective action if deviations are identified.
Our responsibility does not end with the successful recruitment of a skilled worker. It also includes treating the people who place their trust in us with respect.
Our promise
"We connect people, opportunities and international job markets – with responsibility, fairness and transparency. We believe in recruiting skilled workers in a way that respects human rights, adheres to legal standards and never places economic interests above human dignity."
SAISY Germany
Ethical recruitment. Fair Opportunities. Sustainable Partnerships.
This policy statement applies to all recruitment activities for which SAISY Germany is responsible and forms the basis for cooperation with employers, program and cooperation partners.
